Just to let you know…(cont.)

I don’t usually read. But when it comes to people I find interesting I find myself becoming a devotee in many respects. Some may call it obsession but lets be honest, you’re following me on Tumblr - what does that say about you?
Insults aside, ‘Charlie Brooker’s Dawn Of The Dumb: Dispatches from the idiotic frontline’ is a fantastic read that anyone with a small interest in critical media literature should consider buying. I am aware categorizing the book as “critical media literature” is not exactly an interesting order of phrasing but allow me to redeem myself: it’s really fucking funny. Seriously, you will not find another columnist who can cram such wit and present a point so efficiently in such a sort selection of text. He’s also very angry (something he claims to be a driving force in his writing - due to the simple fact he doesn’t write for fun), which is also consistently steaming into your face. His anger comes out in witty, sometimes rude, short one liners that don’t “so much go for the jugular as decapitate his targets altogether.” That’s right, using the cover quote to present a point. I am God. Buy it, love it, lick it, praise it, make-out with it, do whatever you like just buy it.
Or alternatively, if you know me, just borrow it off me.
